SMTP Relay

Send emails through mailkube using your existing SMTP setup. No code changes required — update your host, port, and credentials and you're live.

SMTP Relay

What it does

mailkube SMTP Relay lets you route your transactional emails through mailkube’s infrastructure without changing a single line of application code. If your stack already sends via SMTP — whether it’s a legacy app, a framework mailer, or a third-party integration — you’re one config change away.

Point your SMTP host to smtp.mailkube.com, swap in your API key as the password, and your emails start flowing through mailkube’s delivery infrastructure immediately.

Key benefits

  • Zero code changes — Drop-in replacement for any existing SMTP configuration. No SDK, no API integration required.
  • Full observability — Every email sent via SMTP appears in your mailkube dashboard with the same delivery logs, bounce tracking, and open rate analytics as API sends.
  • Deliverability infrastructure — Your SMTP traffic benefits from mailkube’s reputation management, SPF/DKIM signing, and multi-region routing.
  • Instant migration — Move from your current provider in minutes, not days. Test with a single email before switching fully.

Getting started

  1. Go to your mailkube dashboard → Settings → SMTP
  2. Copy your SMTP credentials (host, port, username, API key)
  3. Update your application’s SMTP configuration
  4. Send a test email to verify delivery

Your existing email volume counts against your plan. See Pricing for limits.
